Our supporters club were honoured to be given a pitchside presentation ahead of Manchester United’s home Premier League fixture against Chelsea on 6th December, commemorating our fifth anniversary.
“Just knowing I can be my authentic self and there is a group that supports me, and knowing that football is a safe space for everyone, is so important. Certainly in the last couple of years we’ve grown from strength to strength. Seeing us continue to grow and work with the club, to create that safe space and that equality within football, is so powerful.”
Lindsay Parr, Rainbow Devils Vice-Chair
Rainbow Devils members were joined by Manchester United legend Denis Irwin beside the pitch at Old Trafford before kick off, and were presented with a signed commemorative shirt on behalf of the club.
The presentation was brought forward ahead of our 5th birthday in February 2024, to coincide with this season’s home Rainbow Laces fixture. We were also featured in the Matchday Programme with an interview with Rainbow Devils’ Vice-Chair, Lindsay Parr.
Lindsay said: “Just knowing I can be my authentic self and there is a group that supports me, and knowing that football is a safe space for everyone, is so important.
