In our third and biggest year of being involved, around 50 Rainbow Devils members, club staff and United supporters joined the Manchester Pride Parade today (24h August) as thousands of pride-goers watched the parade march through Deansgate and through the city centre towards Manchester’s Gay Village.
We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who joined us on the parade, as well as the the club itself, for their solidarity and support. Huge thank you too to our very own Carl Nunnerley for all his hard work in organising the parade entry.
This year’s entry was at capacity and saw more supporters’ club members than ever take part. It was great to see some new faces and we hope you can join us at a pre-match social at Old Trafford or Leigh Sports Village soon.
Manchester pride takes place over the August bank holiday weekend, attracting tens of thousands of visitors to the city every year. As well as being a protest for equality and inclusion, the parade is a celebration of LGBT life across our city, making a clear statement to the world that someone’s sexuality or gender should not be a barrier to achieving their full potential.
We’d like to wish Reds all over the world a very happy Manchester Pride. Here are a few photos from Rainbow Devils’ on this year’s pride parade!
